The Alumni awards are open for those who completed a degree, diploma or PhD offered by IDC.
IDCians who have been self-employed or established a design firm, or been a part of creating a design company is considered a design consultant or an entrepreneur.
IDCians who have worked with corporates or large design firms in the capacity of an employee or has contributed in personal capacity in the organisation.
IDCians who have worked for social impact and change for not-for-profit projects at local/ national or international level or have been part of socially affirmative organisation.
IDCians who have been involved in imparting and disseminating design knowledge through seminars, teaching and writing or have been involved in setting up / leading design institutes.
IDCians who have associated themselves through collaborations and contribution for the academic, research and institutional development programs in IDC. Since this award is to recognise their exceptional service and contribution to IDC, the Jury will recommend possible award winners, and IDC decides the winner.
IDCians who have created impact in any other field either closely related or even unrelated to design.
Nominations will be judged on the basis of the following criteria for all the award levels in each nomination category.
Young IDC alumnus who has completed a degree program less than 5 years ago and made a significant achievement that demonstrated their future potential as a design leader/ thinker.
IDC alumnus who has completed a degree program more than 5 years ago and made a significant achievement in the recent past (2-3 years) leading to significant impact on design, business or the society.
This award will be given to an alumnus who has brought credit to themselves and IDC through distinguished work over a significant number of years.
This award will be given to an alumnus who has brought credit to themselves and IDC through distinguished work over during their entire lifetime.
