Ritu Sonalika and Muralidhar Reddy

Ritu Sonalika and Muralidhar Reddy, Product Design: 2003, started their work as a ‘Practice to Theory’ through their studio "Design Circle", where a wholistic maker-centred approach is attempted to use a single material- solid wood that has been explored and crafted right from its inception. The practice has addressed various aspects and facets of design including entrepreneurship, studio production, education, awareness apart from well-crafted products including furniture and learning-play products in solid wood. Ritu and Murali have tutored at several UNESCO Creativity Workshops. They have also won young designer awards from Indian Architect and Builder and the Indian Institute of Interior designers in the Product Category.
