Sridhar Rangayan, Visual Communication: 1986, has worked in films since his graduation from IDC. He is one of the very few film makers to focus entirely on socially important topics, especially queer subjects. His works: The Pink Mirror, Yours Emotionally, 68 Pages, Purple Skies, Breaking Free and Evening Shadows are considered ground breaking because of their realistic and sympathetic portrayal of the largely closeted Indian queer community. He is the Founder Member and Trustee of The Humsafar Trust, founder Festival Director of Kashish Mumbai Queer Film Festival, been elected as Regional Director of Interpride and Festival Director of Flashpoint Human Rights Film Festival.
