Ross Island is small island with thick vegetation situated 2 km away from Port Blair. Britisher used this island as a comfortable stay for the British officials posted in Andaman Islands. It had all the facilities for a luxurious living. Eventually, with the coming of Japanese the island was vacated but the earthquale of 1941 destroyed a lot of building in the island.
