TLP for Mathematics Education in Indian Primary school run my the state Government of Maharashtra Mumbai: case study of class 7 students Supervisor: Prof B. K.Chakravarthy Abstract: Children develop alternate concepts in Mathematics. These alternate concepts are termed as 'misconceptions'. Several attempts are made by school teachers to communicate concepts by using intermediaries and teaching aids. The text books of class seven have been revised for better understanding of concepts; despite these efforts children develop alternate concepts. The research aims at incorporating the Theory Of Multiple Intelligences by Howard Gardner and designing the Teaching Learning Platform for learning with conceptual understanding. The research also aims to understand the meaning of learning to children in schools and how they learn and understand concepts.
