India has an incredible history and that history has left its marks in the form of historical places. It is a gateway for us to connect to the past and learn from its glorious heritage. And over the years these historical places have become popular tourist spots. Most of these sites have stories to tell and, in current systems, we have tourist guides or information booklets for assistance. Tourists hardly resort to or show no interest in these resources which are available. Elephanta Caves is one such beautiful heritage site. In this project of mine, I will study the current experiences of Elephanta. Along with that, I will design an experience where the stories and information of Elephanta can be given in an entertaining way. A totally new experience using ‘Augmented Reality’ as a medium will be prototyped and tested on the site to capture the responses of people.
