is a small community close to Pondicherry in Tamil Nadu, India. The only place in India where cycling pathways exist alongside main road ways as alternative modes of transport. The Cycling map was developed for tourists as well as Aurovillians to promote alternative and sustainable modes of transport in the community.
It was a part of a one month workshop which involved developing Bicycle friendly spaces. It was essential to capture the essence of Auroville through out the visual language of the map. Free flowing brush strokes were used to create icons. The map would be available at the visitor’s centre to all visitors and new comers at Auroville.
