Fitness Equipment Redesign
Guide :
Prof. U.A.Athavankar
The aim of the project was to design a ‘home-gym’ that could be used in an urban Indian apartment and was borne out of the desire to design compact and truly ‘usable’ strength-training equipment for the home. The idea was to make the product small and neat-looking without affecting on the bio-mechanics of the exercises.
The final product not only highly compact (700 x 400 x 1700 mm.), but is also aesthetically unique in that it blends in well with the home environment. It is designed such that it can be placed along a wall, thus saving precious space and the body panels offer freedom of having different colors and textures to suit the users taste.
