A Train is a revered object in Indian society. It is a medium of transport. It is a social gathering. It is a signifier of technological advancement. It is a service to the people. It is a measure of space and time. A train is a necessity. In India, trains seem to look the same since the time of their inception. This project aimed at looking into the possibility of innovation in the three-tier AC coach interior. The foundation of this project rests on the belief that today’s travellers are willing to accept changes for better comfort. Problems like food-related issues, small luggage safety, ergonomics, aesthetics have been addressed.
