RESUME
"Euphoria"- A short animation film on dance
Guide: Prof. Nina Sabnani
My interest in Dance and choreography inspired me to share my experience of dance through this film.
This film celebrates dance. It is about a person who finds a way out of the agitation and anxieties brought on by
worldly matters through the act of dancing, she dances away her anxieties. Dance provides her a sense of identity and
freedom.
This is a short 2d animation film exploring the process of abstraction in dance combined with music and
colours, yet following a narrative pattern.
"A fall", a short animation film
Big Animation – Reliance, Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group
This is a comment on people who try to act wise, get success once then become overconfident and get
carried away by it and don’t see the big blunders they are making.
Story is based on the phrase "a fall will always make a wise man wiser and wealthier".A man reads this phrase and
while reading it he falls and accidentally gets money (success) as he bangs on a phone booth, with this he takes the
literal meaning of fall in the phrase and tries to act wise thinking that if he falls from a higher place he’ll get
more money and his greed for money makes him go ahead with his plan but he doesn’t get lucky enough when he jumps
from a cliff without thinking about the result and loses his life and everything he earned.
“Where the mind is without fear”
Guide: Prof. Sumant Rao
The film is based on the famous poem by Tagore where he talks of his Motherland, gives his dream of a
free nation. And to think of it today! The contrasting image is what the film brings up. Its really a sad commentary
on the way we have progressed as a nation. The law-makers are the law-breakers. Terror has grasped people. The common
people are afraid to speak up. Discrimination of all sorts still exists in the society. The younger generations
don't give a damn on most matters. The very few who have an urge to make a difference are fast brow-beaten into
submission.
Who will bell the cat! That's the big question.
