Usability Evaluation - IN 604 During this course students were introduced to the world of analytical thinking and evaluating various products. These can be tangible / physical products or intangible products as well. For the first assignment we were asked to study a paper on a specific topic and present our views on the basis of evaluation the same. This, being an individual assignment ensured that each student studied a paper of their interest and them made a presentation on it to the entire class. As a group task we
were asked to carry out various usability tests like Card Sort, Think Aloud etc on some apps that
were at a nascent stage in their life cycle. The students were encouraged to test these products on
not only their friends / class mates but also on other people from various walks of life. Being a
group project, each group was advised to at list carry out two tests in order to effectively evaluate
the app / website. |
