There are two entry routes for our PhD Programme
The Graduate entry route
Eligibility:
B.DES/B.Arch/BFA/Under graduate Diploma in Design of NID or equivalent degree with exceptionally outstanding design related work
A valid CEED score is required in addition to the above OR they should have a minimum of three years relevant professional experience to be eligible to apply. However without a valid CEED score, applicants will not be eligible to apply under TA/TAP/RA/RAP categories- that is, financial support offered in these categories will not be available to them.
Admission Procedure:
- Application. You will need to apply through IITB for our Phd program. Application forms are available in March. The following are important links:
- After your application Forms have been screened, you will be called for a Presentation and interview. All dates will be announced on the IITB Website.
The Post-graduate entry route
Eligibility:
Postgraduate students may pursue their Phd as part time or full time students. The eligibility criteria for both categories are as listed below:
Full Time Students:
(i)Students who have done postgraduate (M.Des) from IIT's & IISc or PGDPD from
National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and equivalent programs in design
are eligible to apply.
OR
(ii) MA/MSc/MCA or equivalent degree with exceptionally outstanding design related work
For applicants with qualifying degrees as in (ii) above the following additional requirements have to be met:
A valid CEED score is required in addition to the degree OR they should have a minimum of three years relevant professional experience to be eligible to apply. However without a valid CEED score, applicants under (ii) will not be eligible to apply under TA/TAP/RA/RAP categories- that is, financial support offered in these categories will not be available to them.
Part Time Students:
In addition to the above qualifications the Part Time Students should have
a minimum 2 Years experience in consultancy, Industry or academia.

For students who have a post graduate degree in design from any reputed and recognized university, may:
