Internship in Game Design
Trine Games, Mumbai
For the internship project, I spent two months of my summer at Trine Games, Mumbai, a gaming studio that
develops console, PC and mobile games. While at Trine, I had the opportunity to work on the design on the next add-on
of a popular RPG game by the name Gothic (Publisher: JoWood).
The add-on was called Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods. During
those months, I was part of the Game Design team. We worked on designing and developing the storyline, designing the
quests, interlinking them, making sure they were exciting and playable, and also implementing a major part of them
Designing a game based on the Indian Political System
Guide: Prof. U.A. Athavankar
I remember how boring it was for me to sit down and study civics when I was in school. When learning is strenuous and uninteresting, it is
all the more difficult to retain.
Two educational board games were developed in this project, based on the Politicial System of India. The games, 'Chuno Chunao' and 'Ulti Polity' were
developed taking utmost care that between education and fun, neither one suffers because of the other. The games, while fun to play, teach the children
the basics of the system and familiarize them with the terminology, processes and key role players of the system. Age group: 10+
