RESUME
Redesign the identity of the Indian Military Jeep
Guide: Prof. V.P.Bapat
The Jeep has been used by the Indian Military for more than 30 years now. The versatile vehicle has
become the image of the Indian Military in civilian areas. The design has never seen a major change over the years,
but the jeep has found quite a following among soldiers and civilians alike.
Over the years there has been a certain
decline in the ownership of this vehicle amongst the new generation. The project was taken up as an attempt to redesign
the jeep, so that a certain affinity could be created with the younger and more ambitious generation and the niche
market could be exploited even further.
Summer Internship at Design Directions, Pune
Mr. Satish Gokhale
The project work involved exterior design of an industrial water purifier. The exterior design was to
allow manufacture using RotoMolding.
The Second project was to design a vegetable cart for a street vendor. Ideation,
concept sketches and some initial solid 3D modelling was my contribution to the group-work. I learnt how the design
process differs from that in the industry and the evolution from what we learn in the design school.
Game Design for kids in transit environment
Guide: Prof. Ramachandran
All the travel games today are scaled down versions of existing board games. The idea was to reinvent
the way games are played while travelling. To take forward the principles found in regular board games and take them
forward to travel games.
There was also a consideration to see if there could be some new board games designed
specifically for travel.
