RESUME
“Who am I? ..as an Indian.”
A documentary film
Guide: Prof. Sumant Rao
This film is an opportunity to the viewer to start the journey both within oneself and through India,
to find their Identity as an Indian. Through some metaphors, animation and a series of interviews of over 27 people (from different professions,
students, folk-craftsmen and artisans, religious representatives, former prince, politician and government servants, people from archaeological
department and many others), the films provokes thoughts like what is India to Indians, apart from her physical and geographical aspects.
What did India represent in the past? How does India fit into modern world? It also touches on the problem of communalism and regionalism and asks
whether we really have unity in diversity, or is there mere acceptance of situations.

Interaction design project for Marvel Technology, USA
Guides: Prof. Ravi Poovaiah
Dr. Ajanta Sen
To design a remote play device for teenagers using the electronic chip developed by Marvel Tech. that
can interact with other similar chips within a certain range of distance.
The process included conceptualizing remote play devices after
user survey of more than 50 teenagers from 3 different divisions i.e. privileged class, middle-class and under-privileged class, creating mappings
of user-universe, social-cognitive-physical factors, for design opportunities, affinity mappings. Finally developed 3 conceptual devices, out of
which one is prototyped, called the “Scribbler”, designed based on the primary action of doodling, through which one can send messages and play
games remotely.
“Happiness”. An experimental Graphic novel
Guide: Prof. Nina Sabnani
This graphic novel explores issues of happiness around young persons. In this case the story revolves around a young girl for whom happiness appears and disappears as an imaginary bird. She is quite content with herself till others point out lacks in her life. The story suggests that happiness is a personal construct and still it may be controlled and trapped by societal norms.
As an experimental graphic novel, the printed book explores the notion of image and sound. It has images with dialogue boxes that play the audio when touched. It also explores the non-linear narrative within a book.
