RESUME
Manas Mithya
Guide: Prof. Raja Mohanty
When we make pictures, we often come to deeper insights about ourselves
and the world around us, it is a powerful way to move beyond words. By adding color and form we illuminate them and in
the process we illuminate ourselves. Manas Mithya is a story of a female and her journey of life. It's her quest to find
her place, caught in the worldly nature of love and lust and residing in dilemma. The resource must take a tangible
form if people are to understand it and the form in which it is produced will affect the manner in which people will
comprehend it.
However, for me everything cannot be said but that doesn’t bring this to an end.
Internship at channel [v]
Channel [V]
It was a great time to get an inside glimpse of an industry, and a
particular occupation. During my internship at Channel [V] I worked mainly on the Id’s, Public Service Ads, Monsoon
bug and on the Logo for Movie No.1
The team at Channel [V] works at a rapid pace, bringing out new concepts in the real world and making them work.
In creative world you need to be very quick witted and prepared for any and every moment. Besides the professional
work experience, I also got to develop and sharpen my skills and abilities and explore myself to the fullest. I
pondered on the areas that I was good at and the ones on which I needed to work desperately.
Pan Pilgrim@ Banaras
Guide: Prof. Mandar Rane
They write poems and ribald songs about this heart-shaped leaf. The
kamasutra mentions it as necessary to the rituals of courtship. Pan welcomes every guest and is slipped after every
meal into mouth because of its digestive properties. I took up a project on documenting a panwala as it seemed very
appealing to me and colourful to my imagination, both as a product and process.
I started off with my project, with
exploring panwalas, understanding them, their behaviour, the process of making pan, the kinds of pan, the customers
of pan and the activities around pan in the oldest and the strangest city of the world, Banaras and ended up with the
flavour of the Banarasi culture in it.
